How to Remove SaaveLots Extension - Removal Guide

What is SaaveLots?


Recently computer users complained that their computer have been infected with SaaveLots:

Adware, PC HelpDesk PopUps, and Issues using Google Chrome. 
Anytime I use the browser, there is always an "Ads by Google" that is "powered by Custom Search" above my content. My content is littered with Ads by Cookingware and Ad Choices. I try to open Google Chrome and it never opens. I have tried to uninstall some of the programs and usually they reappear - some of them are identified in the logs (i.e. EnjOyCoeuepoNe, DiiggiSavEr, SaaveLots). Right now, those aren't showing up as an option to uninstall, however, a program called "Cooking Image" shows up as having been installed on December 26, 2013 - no way, I've checked and checked many times this year and that wasn't there before and is now. 

SaaveLots is an ad-supported extension which can be classified as an adware. In general, SaaveLots can get into the computer along with suspicious downloads from the Internet along with third party software, such as browser update, Java update, Flash Player update, Video Player update, video recording, download-managers or PDF creators. If you didn't pay attention to the installation process, you may have many unwanted programs to download. Once gets into the computer, SaaveLots will compromise your browser and modify browser setting. It will attach on the browser as a browser helper object. It will add unwanted add-ons or extensions to your browser. When you surf the Internet, SaaveLots is capable to generate a lot of pop-up ads to show on the webpage you are visiting.

The tricky ads by brought by SaaveLots may redirect you to malicious sites which promote unwanted products. By typing your financial account, it may track your personal information for marketing purpose. SaaveLots may also drop down malicious programs. SaaveLots may connect to the Internet to request data and download files. It is suggested to remove SaaveLots from the computer as soon as possible to avoid further damage. How to remove SaaveLots 


Method 1: Manual removal


Step 1: Stop related running processes in Windows Task Manager first.

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or Press the Start button->click on the Run option->Type in taskmgr and press OK.



Step 2: Remove any infection related program from Control Panel.

Windows Vista and Windows 7

1. Open the Start menu.
2. Click Control Panel and click Uninstall a program.
3. Remove the related programs.


Windows XP

1. Open the Start menu.
2. Click Control Panel and then click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Uninstall related programs.


Windows 8

1. Press Win+R.
2. Type in control panel and click OK.
3. Select Uninstall a program.
4. Remove the related programs.



Step 3: Remove SaaveLots extension or add-ons from your browsers.

Google Chrome



Mozilla Firefox




Step 4: Show all hidden files and clean all the malicious files.

(1).Click the Start button and choose Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, to find Folder Options then double-click on it.
(2).In the pop-up dialog box, click the View tab and uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).


Step 5Go to the Registry Editor and remove all related registry entries.
(Steps: Hit Win+R keys and then type regedit in Run box to search)
