SecurityHelper.dll Trojan Removal Paths - How to Delete SecurityHelper.dll Trojan Completely?

It hides itself in C disk; the location is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Security\Client\SecurityHelper.dll. It's the variant of Win64/Sathurbot.A trojan. The infection of Win64/Sathurbot.A trojan creats a subfolder called 'cache' with at least two temporary files in it at the each reboot. It also download 2 new ones after every reboot and the mentioned ones were the last ones.

Path 1: remove SecurityHelper.dll manually (offered for those with a little expertise)


1. get the task manager and end the running processes related to SecurityHelper.dll or the suspicious ones.
(to the quick way to bring up Task Manager Window:Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc )


2. Show hidden files and folders.

  • open Folder Options by clicking the Start button
  • clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization

  • clicking Folder Options
  • click the View tab.
  • under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
  • click OK.

3. Open Registry Entries. Find out the malicious files and entries and then delete all.
(Tip: back up your PC before making any changes.)

  • Press Windows key + R to open Run box. 
  • in the “Open” field, type “regedit” and click the “OK” button.

  • Search for the malicious files and registry entries and then remove all of them:

4. Restart your beloved PC immediately to take effect. 

Path 2: use the Automatic Removal Tool to remove SecurityHelper.dll
